Worth writing about

• A tool got it wrong. The input that did it is the useful part, if you are able to share it. Nothing is logged here, so a bug that only happens with your file is invisible until you say so.
• A job you keep doing by hand. Most of what is here started as someone's recurring annoyance.
• Something on the site itself: a link that goes nowhere, copy that is wrong, or anything that reads as misleading.

What happens to your message

It goes to a mailbox and is read. It is not added to a list, and there is no list to be added to. What the site itself does with data is set out on the privacy page.

Before you write about a tool

Two things make a report answerable in one reply rather than three. The first is which browser and which machine, because a good half of what goes wrong in a page that does its work locally is a browser refusing something: an older Safari without a codec, a locked-down work laptop, a phone that will not decode HEIC. The second is what you expected to happen, which is not always obvious from what did.

If a file is involved and you can share it, that settles most questions on its own. Nothing here is logged, so a fault that only happens with your particular PDF or your particular CSV is invisible from this end until somebody sends one. If the file is private, a description of its shape usually does: how large, how many pages or rows, where it came from.

What this is not

There is no support contract behind this address and no promise of a reply within any particular time. It is one person and a mailbox. Requests to add a link to your site, to publish a guest article or to buy advertising are read and not answered, so it is kinder to say so here than to leave you waiting.
