The conversion is exact: an inch is 2.54 centimetres by definition, so 5 ft 7 in is 170.18 cm, not roughly 170. Going the other way, centimetres rarely land on a whole inch, so the inches are shown to one decimal and also rounded; 170 cm is 5 ft 6.9 in, which people round to 5 ft 7 in.

Turn it all into inches, feet times 12 plus the inches, then multiply by 2.54. 5 ft 7 in is 67 inches, and 67 × 2.54 = 170.18 cm.
How do I convert centimetres to feet and inches?
Divide by 2.54 for inches, then take whole twelves for the feet. 170 cm ÷ 2.54 = 66.93 in, which is 5 ft and 6.93 in, or 5 ft 7 in to the nearest inch.
