What you save shows here, to open again, copy for the next job, or delete. It stays in this browser only.
Everything is made in this page and never uploaded. What you save stays in this browser; Back up gives you a file of it to keep or move to another device.
A quote is an invoice that has not happened yet: the same lines, the same totals, and instead of a due date, the date until which the price stands. Fill in the job, line by line, with tax and any discount, set Valid until, and download a PDF headed Quote, with the total and the date it stands until in the first line the client reads.
It is saved in this browser with your invoices, numbered on its own, QUO-0001, QUO-0002, so when the client says yes the work is already written: open the quote, and the same lines are ready for the invoice. Your details, logo and currency fill in every new one.
Quotes come out in English, Spanish (presupuesto), Portuguese (orçamento), French (devis), German (Angebot), Italian (preventivo) or Dutch (offerte), with dates and amounts written the way each language writes them, and nothing is uploaded.
How to use it
- Add your logo and details, and who the quote is for.
- Add a line for each part of the job, with quantity and price.
- Set tax and any discount, and how long the price is valid.
- Download the PDF quote. It is saved here too, to turn into an invoice later.
Questions
What is the difference between a quote and an estimate?
A quote is usually a fixed price for the work described, valid until a date; an estimate is a best guess that may change. The document is the same shape, so this page makes either: change the title to Estimate if that is what you are sending.
How do I turn an accepted quote into an invoice?
Open the quote and press Invoice at the top of the form: the client and every item carry over into a new invoice with your next invoice number, and the quote stays saved as it was. Set a due date and download.
How long should a quote be valid?
Thirty days is common, and shorter where your costs move quickly. The Valid for buttons set the date for you, 7, 14 or 30 days from the quote's date.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The PDF is made in this tab, in WebAssembly, by a page served with a rule that forbids it from opening a network connection. Your clients, prices and logo stay on your device, and what you save stays in this browser.
Other documents
The same form, saved in the same list, for another kind of document.
Your data stays on your device
Everything above runs inside your browser as WebAssembly compiled from Rust. Nothing you type is uploaded, logged or stored on a server. You can load this page once, go offline, and it still works.
This page makes no requests at all, to anywhere. That is not a promise in the copy: it is a Content-Security-Policy header your browser enforces, and connect-src on it is none. Open the network tab and watch nothing happen.
