A sample is in. Choose a straight-on photo of your face and shoulders, in even light.
Your photo is opened and cut out by this page, on this device, and never uploaded. Check your country's current rules before you print: offices also look at expression, glasses, shadows and how recent the photo is, which no tool can check for you.
Schengen visas and most EU passports take a 35 × 45 mm biometric photo, the face 32 to 36 mm from chin to crown, on a plain, light background. Choose a straight-on photo and it is cut out, put on white or light grey and framed to those numbers.
Download the photo, or a print sheet for a 10 × 15 cm print. Nothing is uploaded.

Questions
Is a Schengen visa photo the same as a passport photo?
In most EU countries, yes: both follow the ICAO biometric rules at 35 × 45 mm. Some consulates add their own, such as a light grey background, so check the one you are applying to.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. You are cut out of the background and the photo is framed in this tab, on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere.
